Account Representative – Electronic Components

About the Role

We are working with an established international distributor of electronic components to support the growth of their sales team in the Boston area.

Our client operates globally within the electronics and semiconductor ecosystem, supplying a broad range of components used across industries such as industrial electronics, medical technology, and advanced manufacturing. The organization is known for its strong customer relationships, fast-paced sales environment, and long-term market presence.

This role is ideal for candidates with a commercial mindset who enjoy building relationships, developing new business, and working in a high-energy inside sales environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound sales activities, including cold calling and lead follow-up
  • Manage and grow a self-built portfolio of customer accounts

  • Promote a wide range of electronic components, including semiconductors, ICs, passives, and related products

  • Use CRM and lead-generation tools to research prospects and manage sales activities

  • Coordinate closely with internal purchasing and operations teams to support RFQs and order fulfillment

  • Reactivate inactive accounts by offering targeted inventory solutions

  • Maintain regular communication with customers regarding order status, availability, and inspection processes

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in electronics, semiconductors, or a related technical sales environment preferred
  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships via phone and email

  • Self-driven, organized, and comfortable managing a high-volume sales pipeline

  • Customer-focused mindset with a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, international trade, or a related field is a plus
